"How should we react in times of catastrophe? One option is to remain silent; another is to take action and show solidarity with the victims of this catastrophe. As Jewish Israelis who are living in the diaspora we could not remain silent in the face of these atrocities, so we decided to take action by editing a “Bridges גשרים Brücken ”جسور magazine devoted to raise awareness and funds for Clean Shelter's vital work.
This magazine brings us back to where we first met: documenting home demolitions in the Jordan Valley and the West Bank. That project was a collaboration between Rabbis for Human Rights, where Mati was active, and Dharma Activism, where Yossi volunteered. Since then, we've both left Israel and moved to Berlin. Today, though far from the occupation in the West Bank and the horror unfolding in Gaza, we've created a unique international and multilingual cultural project that combines both activism and art ..."

Demir, Diren: Born 1997 in Istanbul, is a Kurdish and Turkish, Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist and curator . Diren focuses on transformational activism, participatory practices, and developing new models of resistance in their artworks.
Dvori, Assaf: Dichter und Kindergärtner . Sein erstes Buch Drafts for the Family erschien 2019 (New World).
Ermacova, Laurence: Writes and performs poetry in French and German . In April 2024 her first collection of poetry États de mes lieux – Gesammelte Gedichte is published by Éditions du Bunker, Paris.
Groth, Monika: Writer and filmmaker based in Berlin. Born in East Germany, her current novel project traces her Jewish grandfather’s hidden history during WW II.
Körting, Katharina: Freelance writer based in Berlin . She writes poetry, prose, and journalistic texts . In 2025, she published the novel Marlenes Kampf im Wahlkampfgeschäft.
Lampel, Yossi: Kulturagent, Verleger und Geschichtenerzähler am Stammesfeuer. Er lebt auf dem Bruch zwischen Berlin und Israel.
Lutzky, Avital (Tali): Jerusalem-born, Berlin-based educator and illustrator. Draws to stay sane. Overthinks most things.
Misselwitz, Charlotte: Hat als Journalistin in Israel gearbeitet und schrieb ihre Dis- sertation
über deutsche und israelische Medien . Sie schreibt heute von Berlin aus.
Nowack, Jana: Berlin-based artist with a Master’s in Art and a degree in Communication Design. Her work has been featured in exhibitions and private collections around the world .
Rosenfelder, Nait: Berlin-based artist and researcher, who explores the inter- sections of textile, tradition, and community engagement through craft.
Ross, Shula: Multidisziplinärer Künstler, Maler und Bildhauer. Studio in Kiryat El-Melacha, Tel Aviv .
Shatz, Zamir: Born 1969 in Kvutzat Kinneret (Israel), lives and works in Tel Aviv, a graduate of the Bezalel Art Academy MFA program.
Shemoelof, Mati: Schriftsteller, Dichter und Kurator . Er hat bislang zwölf Bücher in Israel und Deutschland veröffentlicht. Im Jahr 2026 wird im Elif Verlag sein Lyrikband Jiddische Sounds, deutsche Wörter (Arbeitstitel) erscheinen.
Solari, Héctor: Visual artist and curator, born 1959 in Montevideo [Uruguay], in Germany since 1993, since 2022 in Berlin . Studied art in Montevideo and in Lucca [Italy] with Luis Camnitzer. His work includes numerous video dance projects, as well as video- and sound installations.
